I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

I am Que-n-nick, an American Indian name which means Lady of the Wind. I guess that proud name isn't easy to say or remember so everyone calls me Queeters. We are not exactly sure how old I am because I've had several homes - the last one for 18 years. According to my last owner I have quite the vocabulary. According to my foster mom a lot of my vocabulary isn't fit for a lady to say. I'm a pretty good eater although pellets are not my thing--yet. I'm a little hesitant about affectionate touching, but if you are patient with me, I think I'll get to like it. If you sing to me, I will dance. Although I'm not a big biter, I have been known to get in a pinch or two with my big beak and then I say "Ouch" before you do. In summary, I'm big and beautiful, have a few issues, but in a home with experienced big bird caretakers, I'll do just fine. Update: 4/17/08. I am doing really well in a foster home with Kobe, another female Blue & Gold. We would like to have some people visit us. We are so cute that it will be hard to choose but maybe you would want us both. Come see us!
