I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Salutations, Dylan here. Like so many of Mickaboo's birds I was found outdoors and not doing very well there. I was brought to a shelter and then to a veterinary hospital, where I stayed for just a day getting checked out. Turns out that I seem healthy, although I was a bit hungry and ragged from my ordeal.

About my name: the nice people at the veterinarian's office called me Sparky because I was like a little jolt of energy and light. Mickaboo's cockatiel intake coordinator (who's also my foster dad) said that there's already a cockatiel named Sparky who is waiting for adoption so he chose the name Dylan instead. We haven't decided if I am named after Bob Dylan the musician or Dylan Thomas the poet but as long as they feed me I don't really care.

So far in my foster home I've proven to be energetic, curious, and vocal. I hear other cockatiels down the hall whistling "Shave and a Haircut" so I join in. I must say that I had never heard so many variations on "Shave and a Haircut" before, and it's kind of fun being a part of the improvisation. I'm still a bit sensitive about food, seeing as how I was wandering around outdoors without any. When they put a dish of food in front of me, I eat it!

My foster dad says that I look pretty young, probably under 4 years old, and that I will make a wonderful companion for the right person or family. I'll need at least one other cockatiel in my life but other than that I'm pretty flexible. I just want to be somebody's friend and I'm ready whenever you are!
