11/8/10 UPDATE: Sunny is doing very well and while her previously injured wing droops, she can fly short distances. She is bonded to another special-needs little white homer named Joey and they need to live separate from other pigeons (see Joey for more details). They would make a lovely pair of indoor pets. ****** Hello, my name is Sunny. I'm a white homing pigeon (the kind used for "dove releases") but something happened and my wing got hurt and I was found near the corner of Edenvale & Chynoweth and taken to SJACS. They say I have "curly toes" and I do. My feet are a little misshapen but they function and hopefully my wing will feel better and work again soon. (The vet didn't see any signs of a break in my radiograph.) Homing pigeons are small and can make very lovely pets. Right now I'm recuperating in foster care but I need a forever home.
