Hello- My name is Penny and I'm an example of what happens when racing pigeons don't win. I got lost and and wound up as a stray at the San Jose Animal Shelter and my owner doesn't want me anymore. There's not a very good retirement plan for racing pigeons unfortunately. Lucky for me, MickaCoo has taken me into foster care and they will look after me until a good forever home can be found. I'm a lovely, blue bar hen and I don't deserve to be thrown away like an old shoe. I'm alive and I have feelings and I want to live.
