Chicken and Alexa are a lovely pair. They love being with each other. They will step up easily, and hang out on your shoulder as long as they are both on your shoulder. They do not like to have their heads scratched or snuggle with you, but they will happily hang out in your shoulder.

They both come to the shower with me. They do not like to take baths so I just have a shower perch and when I take a shower and spray right above them and they don t seem to mind.

They love being outside their cage and love their playground. They are housemates with three conures, so they don't do the happy chirp anymore, but the happy squack. Talk about learning bad habits from your peers! =).

They squack a bit in the morning until they are uncovered, and taken out of their cage and put in their playground. Once in their playground, they are quiet, and happy and just preen each other and bird watch through the window. Regarding their diet, they love pellets (both Zupreem and Harrison). They would do anything for a Nutri Avian Cake, which makes it easier to put them back in the cage at night. They eat spinach, cilantro and some other greens, they are not into fruits though.

They currently have about 12+ hours of out time, so they got spoiled and complain when it s 10am and they are still in their cage. Alexa has a broken wing (she came that way) but she is a very good flier even when she is clipped so she needs to go to a home that has screens and is very parrot proof. They love chewing toys, and attack the same toys the conures attach, like balsa wood and even conure size toys.....talk about peer effects =). They don t go into ladders or anything that requires climbing, but they walk around a lot in their playgym.
