Hello- My name is Giovanni (that's me doing my Birdy Yoga) and this is my BFF Nina. We were both wandering the streets of SF- alone, sick, hungry, scared (we're just young baby king pigeons)- and were lucky enough to get to the SF Animal Care & Control Shelter. Nina was found on 3/25 near Cesar Chavez & Van Ness and I was rescued the next day not too far from there. I was very sick and the shelter staff got help from bird experts so they could help me! My friend Nina wasn't feeling good either and so MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue took us in (even though they were FULL) and nursed us with medicine and hand-feeding and all kinds of gentle, supportive care. Thank goodness because now we've recovered and are doing great. Now, all we need is a forever home!
