Clark the cockatiel -- has a nice ring to it, don't you think? I came to Mickaboo with Molly when the person who bought us from a pet store realized how challenging we can be. Not that I'm particularly challenging as cockatiels go -- just a little rough around the edges with my social skills. I also had a mild bacterial infection -- the type that are common in pet store birds, unfortunately -- but I'm healthy and ready to go now.

I'm still pretty young so the yellow in my face is still growing in as of when I am writing this (June 2010). I've just begun to sing and wolf-whistle. I'm curious about people and like to be close to them but I'm not used to being handled yet. My foster dad is working with me, though. I'd like to go to a home with other cockatiels for me to be friends with and humans who will be patient as I get used to them. I will also do well in a well-monitored outdoor aviary, where I won't have to learn as many people skills but can still interact with you and sing to you every day.
