Hey there! Have you ever heard of a mealy amazon? That's ME!!! I am a big and HAPPY bird! My name is Ricky and I like to sing, "love with you, love with you, Ricky, Ricky, Ricky, I'm in LOVE with you!" (think 1940's theatre music).

I am also a pro-whistler. I like to whistle songs when I'm happy too. Better than that, I am also very friendly. Yes, a friendly amazon! I like to come out of my cage and play!

It's a bit strange, but I have taken a liking to a red, stuffed bird that sits near my cage sometimes. I like to preen and sing to her when she gets close (pipe in the Barry White tunes here). I've even tried to feed her, but that didn't go too well. My foster mom is working on getting some digital and video footage of my cuteness, and when she does, you can find it here:
