I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Lucy is a very unusual Brown-Throated conure (in the Aratinga family) commonly known as the St. Thomas Conure. Lucy is about the size of a Green Cheek conure or a little smaller. According to her foster mom, Lucy is a pretty, tiny little thing. She is slender with a long tail and wings and a brilliant blue on her tail (that doesn't show up in the pic).

Although her foster mom thinks she's young, we aren't certain. Lucy was rescued from a shelter, so we know nothing about her past. But she seems to like her human flock. She had no interest in her apple slice (see pic) until her mom made lots of yummy sounds, broke off a piece, and made a big deal of eating it ... then she scooted right over and started munching on it. You can see how small she is by comparison.

So far she's making a few little inquisitive chirps, clicks, and squeeks. When her mom plays next to the cage, she gets lots of verbal response from Lucy, much like typical conure noisiness, but no shrieking. And, one more thing, "She's adorable."
