I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Alden here. I'm a fairly young female grey cockatiel who came to Mickaboo recently from an outdoor aviary. I am just getting settled into foster care and am still a bit shy of people.

Some people breed cockatiels to have fancy color schemes -- pearl, pied, cinnamon and so on. I must admit that I'm glad to be "just" a normal grey, though. As you can see, I'm an attractive bird, with gorgeous eyes and a very fashionable crest which I wear tall and proud. I must apologize for the food stuck to my face in this picture, though. I had just gotten done eating a bowl of porridge when it was taken and I didn't have time to pretty up. I'm on a great diet here in foster care: pellets, corn, carrots, some green vegetables, apples, porridge, birdie bread . . . and just about anything else that they feed me!

I am fairly vocal for a female cockatiel - I like to watch the goings-on around me and chirp with excitement anytime something fun happens. I will probably do best in a home with at least one other cockatiel to be my friend. Would you like to make friends with a gorgeous young lady like me?
