I am Lucie! I am an nine-years-young greenwing macaw. I came to Mickaboo when my human parents could no longer provide me the attention that I need to stay healthy. You may have noticed that I am a little on the naked side. I started plucking my feathers out about four years ago. My new vet said that I am perfectly healthy and just need someone who has time to spend with me and will be able to provide me with lots of toys that shred to keep my beak busy. I particularly love foraging toys. It is a bit of work getting to it, but the nut reward is delicious. So far, things are going well and I have already gotten some new growth. I do not expect to be fully clothed anytime soon though as it takes a long time to break old habits. For fun, I like to play peekaboo, knock knock and fetch. I have a pretty big vocabulary! I say "peekaboo" "hello" "good morning" and the other day, my foster mom laughed when I said "Shh! You'll wake the neighbors!". I make up songs too. "Lucie is a pretty girl la la la". I am a riot! I step up very nicely for both my foster mom and dad because I like to hang out with the family on my playstand. I am a very sweet girl that would appreciate a home that can love me the way I deserve to be loved.
