I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Hi, I'm Joseph, but if you think that's a rather formal name for a grey cockatiel, you can call me Jo-Jo. I'm about nine years old and have lived with a woman and a cockatiel friend for most of my life. The other cockatiel died about a year ago and, in the past few months, my keeper was able to spend less and less time with me because of medical problems. Without human companionship or a bird friend I became quite lonely, as you might imagine. When my keeper went into the hospital for an extended stay, she trusted Mickaboo to find a good home for me.

I'm still getting over my loneliness and am a bit sad about my human companion leaving me. I know that she did the right thing though, and that I have better times ahead of me. I'm eating better in foster care every day, and have begun to whistle again. I'm still shy of people and am getting used to my new environment, but I think I will like it here. I enjoy taking mist baths and chatting with my foster dad from inside of my cage.

I will do well in a home with at least one other cockatiel to share a cage with and a human who will be my friend through thick and thin.
