Hello. My name is Ricky Ricardo and I had a rough start. Somebody dumped me at Dolores Park on 5/23 when I was only just a couple weeks old. Not that it would have mattered much if I was grown up because I'm a domestic king pigeon and we can't survive in the wild! Dogs and hawks and cats and cars kill us- oh my! Anyways, I got lucky and the SF Animal Control Officers rescued me and took me to the shelter but then I was in a small cage all by myself and I'm not ashamed to confess, I was lonely and scared (but atleast safe and warm and fed!). Then MickaCoo gave me a foster home in a nice little backyard loft and I'm pretty happy here but it's still not a real home. I can only stay here temporarily... I'm a sweet little bird and get along with everybody. I'm too young still for them to tell if I'm a boy or a girl but I'm definitely a very nice little king pigeon.
