Hello! Noto here! I'm a 12 year old male goffins cockatoo. My owners are both very, very ill with cancer and unable to give time quality time like I am used to. My mom has started getting chemotherapy and feels sick much of the time and just doesn't have the energy to take care of, and interact with me, much. I am so sad for both my mom and dad and I am also sad for me too because I need to move. I'm not as understanding as I should be I guess - I am so used to being the highlight of their life! Cockatoos really bond to their owners and sometimes don't take change well. Mom says I will be happier though if I can be with a family who has lots of energy like me. Mom likes to brag that I am VERY, VERY smart and a really good talker! I have a vocabulary of over one hundred words and phrases! Incredible don't you think? I even say most of them in the appropriate context-even more amazing! I can even do a couple tricks! I know: I sound practically perfect don't I? My only flaws at this time are that, because I am not receiving the attention I am used to. I have began to pluck and scream some. This should subside when I get back into an active household once again. I will make a really good pet for someone who has the time to spend with me - time and attention which I crave.
