Hi! I'm Chiquita, a lovely young South American macaw with flashing eyes and beautiful plummage. I recently joined Mickaboo along with a couple of my flock mates due to illness in our home. We are all hanging out in a Mickaboo foster home. Good food, lots of attention, toys and more. I am not bonded to the other flock mates so am looking for a home where all the good things can continue - especially the attention. I'd probably like to be around another large bird. If you are gone all day please don't consider a big bird like me because I NEED to be out and about doing the things big active birds do. I am very very high energy and need lots of things to climb on and hang from. Activity will keep me physically and mentally healthy. I love to chatter, have been known to say the right thing at the right time, and have not shown aggression to my foster mom. I am kind of a neat freak - like to eat my food over the dish so I don't waste it. I also like to make soup in my water dish, which gets yucky pretty fast. I am young, sweet, and have nice manners for a BIG BIRD. If you have lots of room, lots of time, and some money to spend on a big cage, perch trees, destructible toys, good healthy food, avian vet visits, contact my coordinator.
