Hi, I'm Jill, a dyed-green (!) king pigeon hen and this is Jack, my mate. We were dumped on the streets of SF (me in the Mission and Jack near GG Park) and we had no place to go and no food to eat. Luckily, the Animal Control Officers of SF ACC picked us up and brought us to the shelter. Then we got lucky again and got to become featured foster birds at Andy's Pet Shop in San Jose. You can come visit us! Why we were dumped, I don't know. We're domestic birds and can't survive in the wild! And why I was dyed green when I'm really a ravishing, platinum white I don't know either. Some people! Anyways, we're looking for a good, safe home in an aviary or a nice big indoor cage. We're quiet and easy-going and promise we'll bring you lots of happiness.
