Petey here. I'm a blue- fronted Amazon, probably about 5 years old. My foster mom thinks that I'm a male. I've only been in foster care for about two and a half weeks after coming from a shelter in San Francisco.

So far I am doing very well. I eat all the healthy foods that they give me here. My favorite is the apricot, oatmeal and crumbled pellet mix I get in the evening. I'm quiet as Amazons go, although I am a relatively young bird at the age of 7 years (2011). I don't get along with macaws, cockatoos, conures or cockatiels. The only amazon I've met was a female and I had a big crush on her. That didn't work out. Soon I will be meeting new amazon buddies and maybe they'll show that birds can be fun. _______________ I do talk a little in a mysterious gravelly voice. I haven't come out of my cage to visit with people much but I love to get my head scritched from inside of my cage. My foster mom says that I am still settling in here so check back in a few weeks to see how I am doing!
