Hi, I'm Art, a king pigeon hen (on the right), and that's my mate, Augustgus (but we call him Gus). We're domestic pigeons that were wandering around lost in the big city and got picked up and taken to the shelter. We didn't meet there though. We both had some health issues and, after seeing the vet, we each ended up in a nice foster home and that's where we met. We fell in love pretty quick and have been inseparable ever since. I'm actually a bi-cultural pigeon: I like people and birds and I'm tame. Gus thinks I'm nuts but I love snuggling on a nice shoulder and watching a little TV now and again.
