I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Hello! Thank you for letting me come in out of the cold. My history is not known but I have been a stray living alone outside for several months. I was able to find fruit and nut trees to survive and then a kind woman saw me and started putting out a feast every day. She even put out some stuffed parrot toys so I would not feel alone. When the temperature dropped below freezing she was very worried about me because I am thin and plucked. I trusted this lady and we worked together on a plan. Today I walked into a wire enclosure to eat my breakfast and she gently closed the door. It was time. Behind the scenes Mickaboo was getting a cage to a warm safe home where I could get reacquainted with the good life. I am in quarantine but can hear the other macaws and birds in the house letting me know all is well. Stay tuned for updates. By the way, they named me Lady Diana. I probably am a lady and my benefactor's name is Diana. I am a Blue & Gold macaw, probably wild caught and a former breeder. Great way to start 2009! Warm, safe, food, friends, Mickaboo. Update 01/26/09 Well the laugh is on Mickaboo for naming me Lady Diana. The DNA test shows I am a big blue Male. A name change was definitely in order. I'm doing well and actually seem to be an even tempered macaw. Not too frightened by humans reaching into my cage, or going to the vet.
