08/05/09 Chiquita the Hahn's Macaw Chiquita came into our home with her tub of pellets, a jar of black sunflower seeds, and a big personality in December of 2008. It is with great sadness that she passed unexpectedly. Our house is so much quieter without her; Chiquita was constantly talking whether in English or Spanish which is probably why my husband fell in love with her and her him. We miss her telling us "night-night" until we came to put her to bed all the while talking a kissing herself to sleep on her swing. She was such a sweet little bird always there to greet you, answer the phone, or even share her cage with our Jenday; I am sure he misses her too. Thank you Mickaboo for bringing this sweet little bird into our lives and for everything you do for our little feathered friends. Chiquita?s foster mom.
