I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

PJ's necropsy results were inconclusive. Here is what his Dad said about him: "PJ was as a very cute and a very sweet little bird, and we are going to miss him a great deal. PJ was a very independent little budgie who loved to chirp and sing to me first thing in the morning. He would land on my fingers before I could get his food bowl in place." Maybe this group's name should be Mickaboo Bird Rescue and Matchmaking Service. It can be a wonderful moment when two birds who seem meant for each other meet. (Remember we are talking about friendship here, not breeding!) I'm Mackie, and P.J. and I are now living happily ever after together. We are both cute little budgies. I used to have another budgie friend, but he was taken from me by cancer. I was devastated and my foster mom worried because I wouldn't eat. Luckily another Mickaboo volunteer was considering adding a budgie to his flock. About the same time he heard my story, he learned that P.J. needed a home, too. P.J. belonged to a loving woman who was getting on in years and wasn't able to care for even a little bird. Well, when P.J. and I met, it was a big bunch of budgie love! We are now inseparable. Itís so nice to have a preening partner. I don't really trust people, so I especially appreciate having a bird friend. P.J. seems to think people are just fine. She is a curious little girl who loves a lot of things: food (once somebody said she resembled a tennis ball), chewing (she's also been compared to a cow with cud), showers and baths. Fortunately, after all that, she still has love left over for me!
