I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Hi. They call me Tank because I'm a real tank of a pigeon. I've also been called a "football" and I am shaped like one. I'm definitely a gentle giant, though. I'm easy going and very sweet. My markings are very beautiful and my neck shines with iridescent purple and green both. Since I came to my foster home, I met and fell in love with a hen named Country and now we're a bonded pair. Country arrived at the shelter missing all of her back and tail feathers. I don't know what grabbed her but I'm really glad she got away. We fell in love at first sight. We have an excellent marriage and have stood together through thick and thin. Unfortunately, I was bitten by a mosquito and contracted pigeon pox. I survived it (just barely) but the tissue damage cost me my lower beak. It took a while but I've since adapted and now can eat without it but there were some tough times along the way.
