In mythology Cupid is the God of Erotic Love and the ancient Romans often pictured Cupid as a winged child or baby . . . or in my case a chubby green Double Yellow Head Amazon parrot. I definitely live up to my name. Anyway, my hormones are out of whack. My owner really loved me but wasn't disciplined about my food habits and I got chubby and have too much estrogen, which doesn't help my "condition". I was also spending way too much time in a solitary pleasure (don't ask and I won't tell) and really causing some medical problems too. So here I am 25+ years old and a sizzling sassy bird lady. Now don't go thinking about getting me a big sturdy green amazon boyfriend because we don't need any more baby parrots. Talk to Mickaboo - they will tell you all about the parrot overpopulation problem. I've seen the best of the bird vets and my current doctor can get me on the right track (mostly diet and exercise) and maybe an injection from time to time. I am a really sweet bird and very entertaining - I can talk and sing opera. I am living in a foster home and they are really pushing the fresh nutritious foods, lots of sleep, light, clean air, and I just know I'm doing better. It won't be long until Valentine's Day and you can see winged Cupids everywhere - how about one in your house? Notice: Due to the sometimes difficult nature of amazons, Mickaboo prefers that amazons not be a households' first parrot.
