I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

I may not be the greatest figure in the history of science, nor the greatest genius who ever lived, but to my friend Noel I am the best in the world! My name is Newton and I came to Mickaboo as a shelter stray. Initially I was up for adoption as a solo bird but now my friend Noel and I are pretty buddy-buddy per our foster mom so she's very nervous about separating us. We'd like to be adopted as a bonded pair now - it would be in our best interest don't you think? I have a very sweet disposition and like to sit close when you talk to me. I'll even let you kiss me on top of my head and I like to hang out on my human pal's shoulder. If you wear glasses I like to nibble on them as well. I used to be more vocal when I was a single guy but now that I have my best friend Noel we, as a pair are pretty quiet. We are homebodies that always need to be reminded to come out of our cage to get some exercise - but we're willing to do that with just a bit of coaxing. We currently eat zupreem pellets, love oatmeal and nutriberries and will nibble on some greens. I know how to step up, but will sometimes make a fuss when asked to step-up from inside my cage. Hey, us geniuses can be pretty independent you know? If you're looking for a nice cockatiel to adopt, and hopefully two, please think of us!

Check out a short clip of Newton whistling!

Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted.
