Joey is a very cute white homer who got injured in a storm and was rescued in Half Moon Bay. He's made a good recovery but, because of a fused elbow joint, can't open his wing nor fly. But he still tries and sometimes, when he jumps up to launch himself, he falls on his back and can't get up. His fused wing and reduced range of motion leaves him stuck like an over-turned turtle. For this reason, Joey can't be kept in an aviary with other pigeons and needs to live with only his mate Sunny who is also a white homer. He's a sweet bird and deserves a nice, safe home where, if he goes "bottom up", he can be righted and returned to his proper pigeon posture. Joey's used to living with people (though he needs time to become tame and friendly) and really enjoys mirrors.
