I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Hello, I am Purby, 2 year-old Green Cheek conure. I'm a very tame loving little bird, who just loves to cuddle with my favorite person. In fact, my mom and I snuggle on the couch together and, shucks, I think I've even dozed off and napped!

But most of the time I get all happy when I'm on my favorite person, playing hide and seek, running all around the blankets, and up your legs. Then I run up and kiss you on the cheek! My mom describes me as a real "kissing - rub my head on your cheek - kind of lover!" In fact, you can even rub my tummy, and I also like to hang upside down.... looking irresistably cute, of course!

I'm a good little eater. I eat just about everything: pellets, rice, pasta, ... uh some vegetables, as long as they are BROCCOLI! And fruit, my favorites are raspberries and strawberries - oooo, yum yum!

I love chattering away and having conversations with myself. So far, my mom hasn't been able to talk the same language, but I'm hoping she'l catch on. She does recognize my cat call, dog call, and clucking though.

If I get too excited I might nip a bit, but I'm a good little bird.. When I get scared I go and hide in my cage. I might have a fear issue with spray bottles because my mom sometimes sprays me if I'm being too noisy. So, perhaps you could try a different approach that the nice people at Mickaboo can tell you all about. It's called positive reinforcement.... whatever that is.

My mom just wants to end my story with this comment: "Purby's got no issues - just wants to please and cuddle!"

Will you cuddle with me?
