I'm a young racing pigeon that got injured and whose owner didn't want to pay for the vet care I received. Luckily, I only lost the vision in one eye and not my whole life! I've made a nice recovery and have found a mate and a home. I got VERY lucky. I think every racing pigeon should have some sort of "health & retirement" plan in place just in case. Racing pigeon owners- please don't just love your birds when they're winning. Love them for life. That's what Pepe says!
