Update, 9/27/10: I have been discovered! My foster mom now knows that I am a boy since my beautiful black collar just grew in with my last molt. It is now also known that I am a young boy, as most Ringneck males get their rings between 1-2 years old. My tail is starting to grow back in too as you can see from my last photo shoot. I've really started to enjoy my out time, and love spending ambient time with the family. I also want to be a part of everyone's conversation when I'm in my cage. I've seen one of the other birds here take food from my foster mom's hand ....that seems like an interesting concept, although I'm still not sure if I would want to do that just yet! I like to hang out with the small dog that lives with me, and hopefully I can become friends with the other birds that live here! I would love to have a forever friend, maybe you could be mine? Helllllooo! My name is Willow! I was rescued from an animal shelter, where my previous owners left me. I have just about molted all my bad feathers, and my new ones are coming in healthy and green! For the most part, I am a shy and gentle young bird, but boy do I love my food! Ever since Mickaboo rescued me, I have been getting all kinds of yummy things: pellets, grapes, red bell pepper, brocolli...the list goes on! All this new healthy food has been making me feel great, good enough for me to sing and chirp and jump around whenever I am hanging out on top of my cage. I am really starting to enjoy having people around too, although I still don't like it when they get too close (it brings back all those bad memories from my old home...). I am starting to warm up to my foster mom, and call to her whenever she leaves my room. I've been seeing her read this book called "Clicker Training for Birds", I wonder if it's for me! Life's definitely been good since Mickaboo took me in, but I am still looking for my forever home, maybe it will be with you? Check me out on youtube! I have the voice of a star. Print this page |
