Hello! We're JJ the pied and Little Chirp the normal grey cockatiel. We're both about five years old and are best friends forever. We're a couple of playful, happy, curious birds and we love to be around people. We have been lucky in that we had a human friend who gave us a lot of love and companionship, and gave us plenty of active playtime out of our cage, too. Sadly, our human companion passed away recently, which is how we came to be in foster care. While we miss our friend, we've agreed to keep his legacy alive by remaining cheerful, sociable and active wherever we go! So, here are some details: we eat well, love mist baths and love to sing. Little Chirp in particular has some complex and interesting whistles and warbles. Both of us make human-like sounds. Our foster dad can't quite tell what we are saying so we'll keep it a secret and make him figure it out. We love sitting on hands or shoulders and will spend as much time visiting with you as you let us -- hey, the more, the better! We also love exploring on our play gym and looking out the window. In short, we're a couple of fun and fun-loving birds who will make outstanding companions for the right person or family. If you have other cockatiels, that's fine. if not, we provide each other with plenty of avian companionship, so that's fine too! We're looking for a human family who appreciates our friendly nature and who understands that friendship works both ways. We will provide you a great deal of love and companionship but we ask the same in return. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
