Ahem. Let me introduce myself. I'm Horace.... As you can see, I don't look exactly like all of the other budgies on the website. That's because I'm what is known as an "English" budgie, or (sometimes) a "show" budgie. No doubt you noticed how fluffy my forehead is, and my larger size. We English budgies are very elegant and (compared to your American budgies), very calm. I don't move around as much as my smaller cousins, and I'm not as chatty. As befits the dignity of my status, I move more slowly and maintain my placid appearance. But don't let my calm appearance fool you, I want a forever home as much as the next guy...er, budgie. I was allowed to escape from my previous home (how was I to know there was no way back?). But that doesn't mean I liked it out in the wild. I'm eager for a new home and a family to love me for my sweet face and quiet habits. Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
