Hello! I'm Charlie a (possibly female) goffins cockatoo. I'm middle aged at oh - about 20 years old. I've been with my last caretaker for more than ten years. She absolutely adores me, but is unable to keep me due to losing her home. Time are rough out there right now and I'm not the only bird to need re-homing because of that. It's very sad. I still have lots of life left in me as goffins often live up to 50 years or so. So, don't be thinking I'm an old fogey because I am not! I'm friendly, don't pluck as many cockatoos do, am healthy and really like people! Practically perfect! As you can see in my photograph I like to play - my boing is so much fun! Did you know that Goffins are known as the clowns of the cockatoo family - and with good reason. I also like hanging out on my cage. I won't be happy if I have to be locked up all the time - so I ask that only folks who can let me be out (or on my cage a lot) consider adopting me. I'm a social kind of gal. If you think we might hit it of please contact the cockatoo coordinator. Thanks a bunch! Notice: Due to the notoriously difficult nature of cockatoos, Mickaboo prefers that cockatoos not be a households' first parrot.
