Hi, my name's Alfie! My foster mom named me after a robot in the Doonesbury comic strip, on account of the robot sounds I like to make. Doonesbury is a little bit before my time though, since I'm still under a year old. Yep, I'm just a lad and I have a bit of growing to do. I'm a very playful and loving bird and my foster parents are giving me plenty of socialization so that I will be confident and comfortable around people as I grow up. I already know how to step up onto a finger and I know how to ask for head scritches. Hey, what's more important than that? I love cuddling and falling asleep in my foster dad's hand when I'm tired. When I'm not snuggling, stepping or being petted, my favorite things in the whole world are singing and talking. I have already learned a wide variety of cheeps and chirps and I can imitate a ham radio and a shoot-em-up computer game. "Peetee petee peetee POW! POW! POW!" See? I can almost say "pretty bird," too. I could turn out to be quite a talker in time. Everybody who meets me comments on how entertaining I am. I will need a home that will give me plenty of out-of-cage time, companionship and mental stimulation to keep me occupied. I am already very sweet and tame and can't wait to be somebody's best friend. If you like cuddling, clowning around, and sound effects then I'm your guy! Call Mickaboo and tell them Alfie sent you. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
