Val was part of the "Cockatiel Eviction" flock, now known as The Jetson's, who have been adopted! At first we thought Val was splay- legged but after spending some time at the vet, it has been determined that she was very badly injured and so she spent her days on the bottom of an aviary floor as she could not walk or fly. Because of this, she was not able to reach the food dishes in the aviary. When we rescued her she was filthy and very underweight. As you can imagine, Val is very wary of humans and will need work on socialization. She is still recovering at the vet but will be available soon. Please check back soon for updates or contact her coordinator if you'd like to adopt her or become an 'Angel' to help cover the cost of her vet bills. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
