Hey there! I'm Leena the lovable "Lovie"-that's a nick name for lovebirds you know! I'm a pretty little peach face that was surrendered to an animal shelter. I was one sick birdie for the first month I was Mickaboo- but I am doing much better now. Weekly nebulizer treatments and shots were part of my medical regimen -and I did have a sinus infection as well but it's cleared up. The best news lately though is that the radiologist thinks that the "mass" the doctor saw on x-ray is actually just a distended reproductive system. Though I was originally bonded with a cockatiel I am on my own now and I'm really VERY much a people bird and I want to be out of my cage snuggled in a human hand getting scritches. I make almost a purring sort of sound when I am cuddled like that. Cute huh? My favorite place to be is on my swing facing towards the front of the cage waiting to be picked up . . .maybe by you?! I like to call to the flock in the house that I can hear but not see at this time. I'm chit-chatty in the am and keep myself occupied until I'm uncovered and know my foster mom is awake. I proudly admit that I've learned to eat pellets and some produce since I've been at my foster home- especially apples. Now that I'm well -will you please think about adopting me? I love people and I know you'd love me too! Print this page |
