I am Freddy, a 10 year old handsome whiteface cockatiel. I escaped from my home (not telling how!) and flew into a window. That meeting with the window earned me a laceration above my eye but I have healed up pretty well according to the nice bird doctor I saw yesterday. I almost missed out on my chance to become a Mickaboo bird! I was at the humane society feeling pretty darn lost and lonely. Someone was supposed to come meet and possibly adopt me but then never showed up. Normally that would make me pretty sad but not in this case! Mickaboo was called and a wonderful volunteer (who is actually my foster mom!) came right down and picked me up. Now I am living the life that all birds dream of.....being a lucky Mickaboo bird. You see, in a Mickaboo foster home you get love, lots of attention, good food, baths.....I am sure you get the idea! So I will be waiting patiently here in my foster home for my perfect human to come along and take me to my new forever home. Nice to meet you by the way! Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
