Monty here. I'm an older grey cockatiel with a pretty whistle and a sad story. Like so many of Mickaboo's birds, my last human companions just didn't want me anymore. I am doing well in foster care although I am a little shy of humans. I prefer interacting with other cockatiels, but I like having humans around me, even if they are not paying attention to me. I am learning to eat pellets and vegetables, and watching other cockatiels eat good foods like that helps entice me to try them too. Many pet birds don't like the sound of a vacuum cleaner -- it scares them! I am a little bit different in that regard. Whenever I hear the vacuum running, I start whistling! My foster mom says that I have a very pretty voice and that I light up the room with my song. I also like toys with bells to help express my musical creativity. If you have a home with other cockatiels for me to visit with and an ear for music, maybe I would be a good fit in your household. Will you call Mickaboo and find out? Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
