Update 9/21/08: Eli & Abby's foster mom has decided to adopt them! Hooray! They get to stay in the place they've called home for over a year now. What lucky little cockatiels to have finally found their forever home! Update 1/14/08: Eli & Abby are doing very well in their foster home. Abby is the friendly, outgoing one and Eli would rather be alone or with Abby. He is not much of a people bird but is very happy with Abby. Eli needs a home where his family will love him from a distance and enjoy watching how happy he is with Abby. Or a home that is willing to spend time working on socialization; showing him that humans aren't so bad after all!! Abby on the other hand will step up and interact with her foster parents. They are still waiting on their forever home! What do they say? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush! How two birds, one in each hand? A Mickaboo volunteer found us walking down the sidewalk! Our wings were already clipped it and there was no time to run for help because a neighbor's cat was less than 10 feet away! Heck, we didn't know we were in danger, but it sure was funny to watch her try to pick us up. We like people and are very happy to put our wandering days behind us. Will you let us settle down with you? Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
