Free Bird Care Class for all!

This class is free (although donations are appreciated) and is open to the general bird-loving public. Everyone interested in fostering or adopting a bird from Mickaboo must attend our class on bird care prior to receiving a bird. Classes are taught by unpaid volunteers.

This class will coincide with a Mickaboo adoption fair!  Attendees will be offered expedited processing of their adoption or foster application.

Due to space constraints, seats at this session will be limited to registered attendees. Kindly register by October 26 via email to class@mickaboo.org. We are full as of Oct 25, and are accepting names for the waiting list.  Include your name and the species you are most interested in fostering or adopting.

  • Proper avian care
  • Proper avian diet
  • Symptoms of illness and first aid
  • General husbandry
  • Taming and training
  • And much much more...

We have bird care classes scheduled throughout the Bay Area. For those who cannot attend a class in person, we occasionally schedule phone classes.
