Bird Toon of the Day - June 13, 2021
Break Of Day: A special week of these clever one-panels, starting with a couple of birds slowly sinking into a dangerous climax.
Break Of Day: A special week of these clever one-panels, starting with a couple of birds slowly sinking into a dangerous climax.
Peanuts: A 1973 strip referencing a popular movie (and book) from that year ... as well as Woodstock's often-observed difficulty in flying.
Speed Bump: Ya think?
The Other Coast: Maybe they'll be vegetarian eagles.
Mutts: Mooch and Earl encounter a woodpecker with a well-deserved headache.
Argyle Sweater: Nice turn of the phrase here.
Six Chix: I thought all outdoor birds were on that diet.
This is probably a good time to point out (again) that the reason Six Chix strips look different each time I post them is because the strip is literally done by six female cartoonist, each of which occupies the slot on their day of the week ... for example, Mary Lawton drew the above so it appeared on a Thursday originally. (The six women rotate on Sundays, with each one doing one panel every six weeks.) You can see a bar graph listing all of the cartoonists that have been involved, by day of the week, at the Wikipedia entry for the strip; two have literally been there for the entire 21 years of its existence!
Tundra: Well, duh ...
Rhymes With Orange: The avian equivalent of the drive-thru window when in-feeder dining is unavailable.
On The Fastrack: Lenore discovers Zoom.
