Hi! I`m Gabe! I`m a 12 year old guy who`s scouting around for a new home. My mom is getting married and I`m happy for her! Sadly, though, they`re moving to an apartment that doesn`t allow animals, even cute little birds like me. I like hanging out in my cage and I`m happy to let you give me food and water but I`m not comfortable being handled. I know that cockatiels like to get scritches on their heads. I might like that some day but for now I just rub my head on my bell. I make cute little chirps throughout the day and in the evening I like to entertain you with my cute singing routine. I`m looking for someone who`ll be patient and kind to me as I spread my wings and try new things!
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
