Hi, my name is Burnside. Ain`t I a cutie? Someone just left me in a box on the vet`s doorstep. Can you imagine?

I am an active, healthy, beautiful budgie currently sharing a cage with another foster budgie, Tiki. I like eating and washing myself in Bibb lettuce leaves. I have even started eating out of my foster parent`s hand! I am fine with the active littles running around my foster home. I eat Nutri-An cakes, pellets, and even a tiny bit of mashed-in fruit or veggie. My foster parent keeps trying new things, so who knows where I`ll end up?!

Will you take a chance on me and add me to your forever flock?

In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
