Hello! My name is Rio and I`m dancing on the sand... Just kidding! I am a sweet and playful 4-year old male Indian ringneck parrot. I am very good at stepping up onto your finger, and I love to sit on your hand or shoulder and visit (though my foster mom keeps telling me I can`t chew on her glasses, for some reason). I only ask that you please move slowly around me, as I`m kind of a little guy and sudden movements can be startling. When I`m feeling relaxed and safe, I like to make kissing sounds and talk in my funny little voice - I say things like, "Hello Mr. Rio," "What are you doing? Huh?" and "I`m a good boy!" I am also a good guard bird - if a threatening, evil towel or shirt comes near, I will growl (adorably, foster mom says) to scare it away. I know how to eat my Zupreem pellets, I love having some fresh fruit as a treat, and I am also really enjoying my fresh greens in my foster home. See, I told you I`m a good boy! My other hobbies include researching the best ways to tear up my woven shredder toys and washing my food in my water dish before I eat it - I`m a very clean bird. Like most of my relatives I can be a little noisy at times, but who isn`t? I hope you`re looking for a loving and entertaining little feathered companion like me to join your family, because I would love to find my forever home and settle in with one or more sweet, loving human people.
