"How are you doing?" I`m Skittles, a handsome lesser sulphur-crested cockatoo boy. I`m as sweet as candy with none of the calories! My family loves me and I`m only available for adoption because my family has serious life-threatening health problems.

Are you looking for a lot of personality in a little package? Just between you and me, those umbrella cockatoos are way too big and numerous! I am way more special and in demand! I am a good talker and a few of the things that I say are: "hey, buddy," "ew scary", "hello Skittles," "I`m Skittles," "I`m a good boy," "bye-bye," "night-night," "are you ok?" and "How are you doing?"

My mom thinks an experienced, exotic bird owner is just what I need, but I`m willing to teach you a few things if you are willing to learn. I like to be spoken to, sung to, and generally paid attention to. I like to sleep in a dark room with my cage completely covered. I am a healthy eater. My mom cooks beanie mix (spiral noodles, several types of beans, country veggie mix, and 2 blackberries) and packages it in snack bags. Then she microwaves one of the bags for 85 seconds before she feeds me. I might be willing to try new things like pellets if you have some tasty offerings to share.

I`ve been in one home since 4 months after I hatched on 8/17/2008, so I`m a little bit frightened and nippy in my new foster home. They say that this should pass as I feel more secure. If you would like to meet me, please go to the "How to adopt" link and fill out an application.
